After throwing only 4 pitches in LA’s second Spring Training game against the Diamondbacks in Glendale, Zack Greinke was pulled off the mound with a calf injury.
“I just felt something in my calf,” said Greinke. “Just try to take care of it this early in spring. Hopefully it’s not a big deal. I think it’s minor. We’ll see in a couple of days. Right now, I don’t feel too bad.”
Of course at this would scare any one associated with the Dodgers this early in the season and the right thing to do was definitely take him out of the game.
The Dodgers had scheduled Zack to throw 2 innings followed by 15 pitches in the bullpen like Clayton Kershaw did yesterday and Hyun Jin Ryu will tomorrow against Chicago.
